Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking Medical Oncology Advanced Trainees/Registrars and Haematology Registrars to join our Cancer Program across two major teaching hospitals in Adelaide.

Multiple full-time temporary positions available.

Salary

MDP2 Medical Practitioner: $96,569 – $153,533 p.a. (pro rata)
MDP3 Senior Registrar: $158,151 – $164,308 p.a. (pro rata)

The roles offer a competitive salary starting from $96,569, plus 12% superannuation, overtime allowances, professional development funding and relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for eligible applicants.

Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) – South Australia’s largest accredited teaching hospital and a leading centre for cancer care supporting patients across the state and interstate.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) – A large acute teaching hospital located 20 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency and specialist services.

About the Role

These positions provide valuable experience within statewide haematology and oncology services. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will manage complex patients across inpatient, ambulatory and diagnostic settings while developing advanced clinical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing oncology and haematology patients across inpatient and ambulatory services
Participating in ward rounds, clinical reviews and treatment planning
Supervising interns and junior doctors
Contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions
Participating in research, audits and quality improvement initiatives
Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
You will be supported by experienced consultants and accredited supervisors of training.

About You

You are a motivated clinician committed to delivering safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care.

Applicants will:

Hold MBBS or equivalent with general registration through the Medical Board of Australia
Demonstrate clinical experience appropriate to their stage of training
Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Communicate clearly with patients, families and colleagues
Demonstrate professionalism, sound clinical judgement and commitment to quality care
Haematology roles may suit applicants eligible for the State-wide Advanced Haematology Training Program (FRACP and/or FRCPA) or doctors who have completed Basic Physician Training.
