As the only community-based X-ray and cast clinic in Edmonton, ZerOne Athleticare offers a unique care pathway that improves access, reduces unnecessary emergency department visits, and enhances continuity of care for patients.

ZerOne Athleticare is an integrated facility where physicians work alongside physiotherapists and a broader allied health team - including registered dietitians, clinical psychologists, and registered massage therapists - to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. We are designed to reduce unnecessary emergency department visits while improving patient experience and continuity of care in the community.

The Opportunity

ZerOne Athleticare is seeking physicians to join our team in a flexible part-time or full-time capacity. This role is ideal for physicians interested in musculoskeletal medicine, sports injuries, and community-based acute care.

You will work in a collaborative, efficient clinical environment focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute MSK injuries, including sprains, strains, fractures, and soft tissue injuries.

Responsibilities

Assess and manage patients presenting with acute musculoskeletal injuries
Perform focused physical examinations and procedural interventions as appropriate
Utilize on-site X-ray and casting capabilities to support timely care
Collaborate closely with physiotherapists and allied health professionals
Develop and implement patient-centered treatment and recovery plans
Maintain accurate documentation and high clinical standards
Contribute to a positive, team-based clinical culture

Qualifications

Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
CCFP, FRCPC, or equivalent certification
Experience or interest in musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, or emergency care
Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
