Blanche River Health Hospital is located in the beautiful community of Kirkland Lake, which is home to a growing population of over 10,000 residents. In 2020, the hospital amalgamated with Englehart District Hospital, located approximately 30 minutes away, forming a unified healthcare organization serving both communities.  We are situated 1.5 hours from Timmins or 6.5 hours from Toronto
Accommodation
Beautiful all furnished accommodation is available for you and your family within 5 minutes from the hospital. There is the new Microtel with pool and gym or the new Ramada Inn with both Hospital discount within a few minutes as well. We also have two comfortable layover rooms within hospital for use overnight if required.

Description/Duties
Emergency department- Kirkland Lake site shifts are 08:00-13:00, 13:00-18:00, 18:00-08:00
Average of approximately 35 ED visits in 24 hours
NP Support in the department during the weekdays
Emergency department- Englehart Site shifts are 24hrs shifts with resting time at night and between patients with an average of 25 patients/24 hours census
Our Kirkland Lake site has 48 medical/surgical beds plus 4 ICU beds and 2 step-down beds, 24 hour emergency department, general surgery, anesthesia, visiting specialists, diagnostic imaging department with a CT scanner, laboratory services, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy (with on-site chemo mixing), a satellite oncology clinic (via OTN through HSN), mental health, palliative care, CCAC, victim services and VCC.
The Englehart site of Blanche River Health is a 21-bed facility that provides primary care services in a rural community with a catchment area of approximately 8,000 residents. In addition to a core staff of dedicated and caring professionals, we offer physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, an emergency department, inpatient unit, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, and a non-urgent patient transfer service.
