Alberta Health Services, Southeast Corridor is actively recruiting for full-time Rural General / Family Medicine Physicians at the Health Centers and in the communities of Bow Island, Brooks, Oyen and Taber.
As the successful candidate you will:
Establish a primary residence and reside in the community;
Provide inpatient and community care within the community;
Establish and maintain a full-time Family Medicine practice in the community; a full-time practice is defined as providing clinical activities at least (5) days per week (40hrs) and providing commensurate shifts in keeping with other full time practice FTEs as assigned by the medical leader responsible for the area of clinical service;
Participate in on-call. Expectations as discussed with each Rural Community Medical Hospital Leader;
Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment;
Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies;
Work collaboratively within the clinical department of Rural Medicine;
Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Corridors Clinical Department of Rural Medicine at the Health Centre, including (without limitation) achievement of certain performance indicators as determined by AHS, exercising its discretion reasonably.
