The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our Women’s Health program in Moose Jaw, serving the patients of southwest Saskatchewan.
As part of a collaborative three-physician team, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services, including labour and delivery, C-sections, gynecological surgeries and procedures, outpatient care, and participation in specialist on-call coverage.
The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital opened in 2015 and was built to enhance patient flow and interdisciplinary collaboration. The maternal ward has 4 Labour-Delivery-Recovery-Post-partum (LDRP) rooms, 2 post-partum rooms, 1 operating room and one room for assessment.
This opportunity provides a balanced workload, strong collegial support, and shared on-call responsibilities. With only a short drive to Regina, you can access tertiary services, additional professional resources, and urban amenities while practicing in a growing, welcoming community.

Job Qualifications
- Certified or eligible to be certified with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (RCSPC) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
The successful candidate may be eligible for:
- The Specialist Recruitment and Retention Incentive program which will provide $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community
- The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 – $14,000 per year for fulltime work.
