Job Description:
We are currently recruiting two Anesthesiologists to the Department of Anesthesiology. The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive anesthesiology services to the patients of southwest Saskatchewan at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The scope of practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics and ophthalmology.
Job Qualifications:
Candidates in consideration will hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification or eligibility for certification in anesthesiology and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Candidate should be team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

The SHA requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.

Successful applicants are expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Anesthesiology in Moose Jaw and will be appointed as Assistant Professors in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Compensation details:
Approximately $476,405/annum. Additional after-hours on-call stipend (1:5) in accordance with the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program.
Relocation Package:
The successful applicant may apply for the Specialist Recruitment Incentive offered through the Saskatchewan Medical Association, which provides $30,000.00 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority offers a $25,000 relocation incentive for anesthesiologists, which can be applied toward moving expenses, housing or vehicle rental, transportation costs, and other relocation costs. This incentive requires a three year return of service commitment.
This opportunity may be eligible to receive the Anesthesiology Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000!
